I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife in the state of Illinois. I entered the mental health field after seeing the minimal number of providers wanting to manage mental health conditions during the peripartum period. Midwife means “with women” and it is my hope to bring that philosophy to my psychiatric practice. I intend to sit with family, with child, with woman, with man, and with fellow human as we navigate the complexities of mental health. This care can be in the form of evaluation, education, diagnoses, medication management, and adjunct therapy.
