Supportive Treatment
While medications can play a critical role in improving your mental health, there are many other factors in your life that we should evaluate and address as well. Research shows that what you eat can impact brain function and mood. For example, a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats can improve brain health, while processed foods and high sugar intake may contribute to mood swings, anxiety, or depression.
While there may be additional techniques we discuss at our appointments, we cannot understate the importance of therapy when indicated.
Lifestyle factors are also essential for mental health. Exercise releases chemicals in the brain that boost mood and reduce stress, while good sleep hygiene can improve emotional stability and cognitive function.
By evaluating the whole person, we aim to address all the factors that influence your mental health, creating a personalized treatment plan that includes both medical (when indicated) and lifestyle strategies to help you feel your best.
