Evaluation
A wholistic mental health evaluation is a comprehensive, patient-centered assessment that looks at all aspects of your mental and emotional well-being. During the evaluation I will take the time to understand your personal history, including any past trauma, life stressors, and current concerns. The approach is trauma-informed, prioritizing your safety, trust, and empowerment throughout the process.
Evidence-based practices, which are grounded in research and clinical guidelines, are used to assess your mental health symptoms and consider possible diagnoses. We will also take into account how your physical health, environment, and relationships might be affecting your mental health.
An important aspect of the evaluation is shared decision-making. This means that you'll be an active participant in developing a treatment plan, where your preferences, goals, and values are considered in deciding on options, such as therapy, medication, or lifestyle changes. Together, we’ll explore the best strategies for your unique needs, ensuring you feel informed and supported every step of the way.
